A joint order has been issued by the district administration to maintain law and order in the district regarding the upcoming Kali Puja, Diwali, Chitragupt Puja and Bhaiya Dooj and Chhath. DM Anil Kumar and SP Anjani Kumar have issued a district joint order and deputed magistrates, police officials and security forces.
Police officers and forces along with magistrates have been deployed at 69 places in the district during Kali Puja, Diwali, Chitragupt Puja and Bhaiya Dooj. Police officers and armed forces along with magistrates have been deputed at 33 places in Araria sub-division and 36 places in Forbesganj sub-division from October 19 to October 23. Besides, 16 patrol teams have been formed in Araria sub-division and 15 patrol teams in Forbesganj sub-division regarding the said puja.
Similarly, to maintain law and order as per the district joint order regarding Chhath festival-2025, magistrates, police officers and armed forces have been deputed at 18 places in Araria sub-division and 19 places in Forbesganj sub-division from October 27 to October 28. Besides, 47 patrolling teams have also been formed in Araria sub-division and 34 patrolling teams in Forbesganj sub-division regarding the said festival. It has been decided to establish control rooms at the identified Chhath Ghats in Araria sub-division and Forbesganj sub-division.
All concerned officials have been instructed to ensure timely arrangements for access road to Chhath Ghats, cleanliness of ghats, barricading, lighting, changing rooms etc. Along with setting up a control room at Chhath Ghats, instructions have also been given to conduct miking. Instructions have been given to depute divers, motor boats etc. at all the Chhath Ghats, mark the dangerous ghats and get them barricaded and also display information about their danger.
Apart from this, many necessary guidelines were given by the District Magistrate to Civil Surgeon, concerned Sub-Divisional Officer, concerned Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Superintendent of Police Traffic, Executive Engineer Building Division, Electricity Division, PHED, District Fire Officer, all Municipal Executive Officers, Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat, all Block Development Officers, Circle Officer, Police Station Head.
A district control room has been established regarding these festivals, whose telephone number is 06453 222309. Additional Collector Disaster Management Navneel Kumar will be in senior charge of the control room. Apart from this, control rooms have also been set up in Araria and Forbesganj subdivisions. The number of Araria control room will be 06453 222070 and the control room number of Forbesganj subdivision will be 06455 295202.
