Katihar, 18 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). In the Rautara police station area of ??the district, Rs 5,00,700 in cash and 3 kg 120 grams of silver have been recovered during intensive vehicle checking in compliance with the model code of conduct in view of the Bihar Assembly elections-2025.

As per the instructions of Katihar Superintendent of Police, continuous intensive vehicle checking is being done in various police station areas of the district. In the same sequence, the said amount and silver were recovered by the Flying Squad team from near the toll plaza under Rautara police station area.

When the arrested concerned person was requested to present valid documents and proof regarding the recovered amount, he could neither show any document nor give any satisfactory answer.

Thereafter, the recovered cash and silver were confiscated by preparing a seizure list as per the legal procedure. Police said that further action is being taken and the matter is being investigated.
