
Nalanda, Biharsharif 26 November . As per the instructions of the state government, various public awareness programs were organized in Nalanda district on Wednesday on the occasion of “De-addiction Day”. On this occasion, Prabhat Pheri was organized at the district headquarters Bihar Sharif, in which students from various schools of the district participated enthusiastically.
Prabhat Pheri started in the morning from Shram Kalyan Maidan, which was taken out till Sogra School. During this, the students raised slogans like “Say no to drugs”, “Healthy life is true life” and inspired people to build a drug-free society. Prabhat Pheri was organized under the joint aegis of Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, Bihar and District Administration, Nalanda.
On this occasion, the Deputy Development Commissioner gave a message to all the residents of the district through a pledge on the occasion of Drug Free Day that I solemnly pledge not to consume alcohol and other intoxicants, because alcohol and other intoxicants are injurious to health, and will also inspire other people to stay away from all these things. The people present appreciated the efforts of the government towards a drug-free society and resolved to take this campaign forward as a mass movement.
During the program, the speakers highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction and appealed to spread awareness in the society. The youth were also urged to adopt a drug-free life and inspire others to do the same. District Prohibition Officer, Nalanda said that public awareness activities will continue in the district towards a drug-free society and with the help of various organizations, people will be motivated to stay away from drugs.
