
East Champaran, 25 October . Chhauradano police station has got success during the special campaign being run in the India-Nepal border area of ??the district on the instructions of SP Swarn Prabhat regarding Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.
On the basis of secret information, the police raided the Janata Chowk of Chhauradano and seized a huge amount of Indian and Nepali notes from the hideout of the famous Hundi businessman Sanjay Kumar Sah of the border area. Which includes 2,79,000 Indian rupees (500 rupee notes). Additionally, a total of 2,84,500 Nepali rupees, including 2,14,000 (?1,000 notes), 68,000 (?500 notes), and 2,500 (?100 notes) have been recovered in Nepali currency.
The total value of the seized Indian and Nepali currency is said to be Rs 5,63,500. Police Station Head Prabhat Kumar said that the Superintendent of Police had received secret information that notes worth lakhs of rupees were hoarded at the house of Hundi businessman Sanjay Kumar Sah. On his instructions, a systematic raid was conducted at the house of Hundi businessman Sanjay Kumar Sah in Janata Chowk and he was caught with Indian and Nepali rupees.
A formal seizure list is being prepared and further action is being taken. At present the police is interrogating Sanjay.
It is noteworthy that businessman Sanjay was doing Hundi business under the guise of Pan Masala business for a long time. It is being told that through Hundi business, he has bought dozens of flats in many cities of the country.
Information is also being received that Sanjay used to send money to many criminals sitting in Nepal through Hundi business.
