
Patna, October 15 (NEWS IN BIHAR). Company 542 ‘C’ of Central Industrial Security Force along with its entire contingent was going from Siwan to Doriganj for the duty of Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.
At around 02:15 in the morning, when the bus reached near Pandey Chhapra village of Rasulpur police station area, a sand laden truck coming from the front hit the bus from the front and the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot.
The bus was damaged in the accident and 41 soldiers and the driver were injured.
As soon as the information was received, Police Station Officer Rasulpur along with his team reached the spot and the injured were sent to Ekma Primary Health Center by ambulance. From there, 25 soldiers were referred to Sadar Hospital, Chapra and as the condition of 18 of them was found to be critical, they were referred to Paras Hospital, Patna.
Both the vehicles have been seized by the Rasulpur police team and on the application of the company commander, legal action is being taken by registering Rasulpur police station case no. 178/25.
On receiving information about the incident, District Magistrate, Saran and Senior Superintendent of Police, Saran reached the CISF accommodation site in Doriganj and obtained detailed information about the incident from the soldiers.
He directed the police officers to ensure the immediate arrest of the absconding truck driver and to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident.
