Gopalganj, 14 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). The administrative team took major action during vehicle checking on Tuesday near Diet College on NH-531 located in Thawe police station area of ??the district. Deputed Magistrate, police officers and CRPF personnel recovered Rs 12 lakh 49 thousand 500 in cash from a Scorpio vehicle during the investigation operation.

According to the information, this amount was found from the purse of a woman traveling in a Scorpio. During interrogation by the team, the woman could not give a satisfactory answer about this amount.

After this, CO Kumari Rupam Sharma, Police Station Head Varun Kumar Jha and Deputy Magistrate present on the spot completed the seizure process and prepared the report of the entire case.

According to the district administration, after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct, an intensive checking campaign of vehicles is being conducted in the district to prevent illegal money, liquor and other material. The matter has been sent to the concerned election cell to investigate the source of the recovered money.
