Officials inaugurating the program

Nalanda, Biharsharif 14 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Sainik School Nalanda, located at Rajgir, a tourist spot in Nalanda district, celebrated its 23rd foundation day with great pomp and enthusiasm. The week-long celebrations organized to commemorate the 23rd Foundation Day of the school included several events like inter-house drama, annual exhibition, special assembly, parent-teacher meeting and cultural program “Mauryanjana”.

Nalanda District Magistrate Kundan Kumar graced the occasion as the chief guest. The function concluded with a lively cultural program and felicitation ceremony. The program began with the arrival of the chief guest at 5 pm, followed by the formal inauguration of the evening program with the lighting of the lamp. Senior Master Dr. Pramod Kumar extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, distinguished guests and parents. School Cadet Captain, Cadet Yashasvi Raj presented the Annual Report of the school, highlighting its steady progress and notable achievements over the past year.

He emphasized that Sainik School Nalanda is moving rapidly towards overall development, achieving excellent results in CBSE examinations and performing commendably in NDA/INA examinations, thereby making the name of the school and the state of Bihar proud at the national level.This was followed by a colorful cultural program presented by the cadets, which included group dances, melodious songs, a drama and a pantomime. The lively and well-organized presentations of the cadets reflected their creativity, confidence and discipline.

During the felicitation ceremony, the Chief Guest presented the Academic Trophy to Siddhartha Sadan, NDA Trophy to Ajatashatru Sadan and Champion of Champions Trophy to Ajatashatru Sadan in recognition of their overall excellence. The Best Cadet Trophy was awarded to Cadet Sundaram Chandrayan, who is currently undergoing training at the National Defense Academy; His mother received this award on his behalf. Cadet Raunak Kumar Jha received the Class X Topper Trophy, while Cadet Abhijeet Kumar was awarded the Class XII Topper Trophy.

In his address, Chief Guest Nalanda District Magistrate Kundan Kumar congratulated the school on completing 23 glorious years of service to the nation and appreciated the impressive performance of the cadets. He appreciated the contribution of the Institute in nurturing disciplined, responsible and patriotic young citizens, and inspired the cadets to strive for excellence and join the Indian Armed Forces to serve the nation with pride. Senior Master Dr. Pramod Kumar expressed vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Guest for encouraging the cadets with his dignified presence. He appreciated the parents, staff and cadets for their active participation and cooperation in making the function a success.
