Samastipur district administration is fully engaged in conducting the upcoming Bihar Assembly general elections 2025 in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner. In this sequence, the second phase training of all the polling parties was successfully completed on Wednesday under the direction of District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Roshan Kushwaha.
In this training, the presiding officer, first, second and third polling officers were present together and they received detailed information about every aspect of the voting process. The training was conducted at two major centers — DAV Public School, Mohanpur and Sant Kabir Mahavidyalaya, Samastipur. A total of 2056 personnel from 514 polling parties were given training at the DAV centre, while 800 personnel from 200 polling parties participated at the Sant Kabir Mahavidyalaya centre. On this occasion, all the polling personnel sat together and understood in detail the entire process of polling day, operation of EVM and VVPAT, completion of various forms, preparation of mock poll, counting of votes and measures to be taken in case of emergency.
During the training, General Observer Smt. B. Maheshwari inspected both the centers and took stock of the preparations. He appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline and administrative arrangements of the polling personnel. The active presence of Nodal Officer-cum-District Settlement Officer Vijay Kumar further strengthened the quality and discipline of the training. He directed the personnel to reach the center on time on the polling day, behave courteously with the voters and assist every voter in voting without any pressure.
The training was conducted under the able guidance of Chief Master Trainers Satish Kumar Yadav and Tanveer Alam. At the DAV School Centre, media coordinator Subhit Kumar Singh, Manglesh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Maninder Sinha and other trainers gave practical training on the nuances of the voting process, EVM handling, Form 17A, 17C and correct management of return of poll documents. At the end of the training, a written test was also conducted to test the understanding and readiness of all the polling personnel, in which all the polling personnel participated enthusiastically. This second phase training is a symbol of the electoral commitment and efficiency of the Samastipur district administration. This has not only strengthened the preparation of polling personnel, but the administration has also taken another important step towards conducting fair and transparent elections. The District Election Officer expressed confidence that the voting process in Samastipur district will be conducted in a completely free, fair and peaceful environment, so that this great festival of democracy can be celebrated with pride and confidence.
