
Gopalganj, 26 October . Under the Bihar Assembly general elections, the work of completing all the technical and administrative processes related to elections in the district with transparency is going on.
In the same sequence, on Sunday, the second randomization of electronic voting machine for Kuchaikot assembly constituency was organized in the assembly hall of the collectorate. This process was completed at 1 am under the chairmanship of the concerned returning officer, in which the contesting candidates, their representatives and the general observer deputed by the Election Commission of India were present. During the process, the entire randomization work was done through the Election Commission of India EMS portal as per the guidelines of the Commission.
In this technical process, after the first randomization, the EVM machines provided assembly wise were randomly allocated polling center wise.
After randomization, a list of EVM and VVPAT machines assigned for each polling station was prepared. Along with this, some machines have been kept in safe category, which will be used for replacement in case of technical fault in any machine during voting. The entire process was completed with complete transparency and fairness.
On this occasion, all the candidates and their representatives present were given the list of allotted EVMs polling station wise and the list of machines kept safe. It was also clarified that these EVM machines will be used at the respective polling stations on the election day. The returning officer said that the second randomization of EVMs is a very important stage of the election process, which ensures that no candidate, party or individual gets undue advantage at any stage. He said that this process of randomization strengthens the transparency, credibility and fairness of the elections.
The observer also expressed satisfaction and said that all the instructions of the Election Commission are being followed in letter and spirit in the district. He directed the officials present that the entire arrangement for physical security, transportation and storage of EVM machines should be ensured as per the guidelines of the Commission. On this occasion, all the concerned officials of the district, technical associates and representatives of political parties were present. At the end of the meeting, the returning officer said that the aim of the administration is to conduct peaceful, fair and transparent voting, for which the Commission’s guidelines are being strictly followed at every stage.
