East Champaran, October 29 . In the light of the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a meeting of senior officers of the Central Paramilitary Force with the district administration was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of IG SSB New Delhi MR Nayak at the SSB camp located in Pipra Kothi. In the meeting, the preparations made so far for clean and fair voting were reviewed. Election Commission of India’s East Champaran Police Observer Raghavendra Suhasa, DIG SSB Saroj Kumar Thakur, District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal, Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat, SSP 71st Battalion Commandant Prafulla Kumar, Medical Commandant Rajesh Kumar, Second Commanding Officer Neeraj Kumar and other senior officials were present in the review.

In the meeting, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police provided information about the preparations made by the district administration for the Bihar Assembly general elections in a clean, fair and fear-free environment. Detailed information was given about the arrival and stay of paramilitary forces to conduct the elections in a peaceful environment.

The Superintendent of Police said that the armed forces provided to the district are continuously carrying out area domination and flag march. Apart from this, intensive patrolling and checking of vehicles is being done on all the major roads and intersections of the district. During the field visit, feedback is being obtained from the people in the identified pockets of weaker sections and they are being motivated to participate in the election process without fear.

No major incident has been reported yet in the district. Even the smallest incidents are being monitored and immediate action is being taken. Intensive patrolling is being done on the inter-district border including the international border with Nepal and a large number of police forces have been deployed there.
