Sabari Basti program was launched on Diwali by Shri Hari Satsang Samiti in Kathari Jamtoki of Viratnagar adjacent to Jogbani border. Under the program, distribution of sweets, biscuits and other food grains given for Diwali among 125 families living in the last rung of the society was done under the chairmanship of Vidyanand Manjhi, former SP of Nepal Police and President of Viratnagar division, who was the president of Viratnagar division. During this, Hanuman Chalisa was also distributed to protect Sanatan Dharma.
National President of Shri Hari Satsang Samiti, Bhikham Chand Saral said that many missionaries tempt people in such settlements for religious conversion in the border areas. There is a plan to run bhajan evenings and various awareness campaigns by adopting a village adjacent to the city but deprived of facilities under the Sabari Basti programme.
In this program, Vice President of Viratnagar Division Mahesh Sah Swarnkar, State Advisor Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Shivratan Joshi and other officials of the organization were present.
