Samastipur, 23 October . With the aim of conducting the Bihar Assembly General Elections 2025 in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner, an important meeting of the Media Management Cell was organized on Thursday at District Information Building, Samastipur. The meeting was presided over by Nodal Officer-cum-District Information Public Relations Officer Rajneesh Kumar Rai.

In the meeting, activities related to media and sweep were reviewed and a detailed strategy was prepared for the upcoming election phases. The nodal officer directed that constant monitoring should be maintained on print, electronic and social media platforms to prevent publication or broadcast of any kind of misleading, objectionable or code of conduct violating material.

Rai said that after the withdrawal of nominations, political advertisements, paid news and campaign materials released by the candidates will be thoroughly analyzed. Accurate records of all expenditure related to this will be maintained and its report will be sent to the Election Commission from time to time. He also clarified that as per the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-District Officer Roshan Kushwaha, it is the primary responsibility of the media to provide factual, unbiased and reliable information to the voters. Immediate action will be taken against any kind of false reporting or dissemination of misleading information.

It was also informed in the meeting that monitoring of active social media accounts in the district is continuing and every post is being closely monitored. At the end of the meeting, all the members of the media cell were instructed to discharge their responsibilities with devotion, alertness and sensitivity. He also gave necessary guidelines to the journalists present and expected them to ensure factual, unbiased and responsible reporting by fully following the election code of conduct. On the spot, Assistant Nodal Officer Anushka Srivastava, Principal Information Clerk Sanjay Kumar, Executive Assistant Anurag Kumar, Media Coordinator Subhit Kumar Singh, Manglesh Kumar, Social Media Coordinator Rohit Kumar, Madhu Madhavi, Vaishali Dwivedi, Sunita Kumari, Anjali Kumari, Divya Rani, Abhishek Kumar, Shadma Nisar, Mohd. Asif Raza and Gayatri were present.
