Patna, 02 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). On Thursday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar garlanded the huge statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. The Chief Minister also pledged to bring his ideals into life.

On this occasion, Aarti Pujan, Bhajan, Kirtan, Bihar songs and patriotic songs were also sung by the artists of Information and Public Relations Department. The Chief Minister also met Suresh Kumar Hajju, who came in Gandhi’s costumes.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister and Governor attended the state jubilee celebrations held at Shastri Nagar Park in Patna on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri. On this occasion, the Governor and the Chief Minister garlanded the statue of Lal Bahadur Shastri installed in Shastri Nagar Park and paid tribute to him.

On this occasion, Aarti-Pujan, Bihar songs and patriotic songs were also sung by the artists of the Department of Information and Public Relations.
