East Champaran, 25 October . In view of Chhath Puja, the great festival of public faith, the Electricity Department has made complete preparations for uninterrupted power supply. To provide better service to the consumers during festivals, the department has set up control rooms at the division level, from where concrete preparations have been made for continuous monitoring of electricity supply.

Releasing the helpline number for continuous monitoring from the control room, Electrical Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar Suman wished all the consumers a happy Chhath Puja. He said that for any problem or assistance related to electricity during the festival, consumers can directly contact the control room on telephone number 9264456405. JE rank officers will be present in all the electric power sub-stations regarding the festival.

Along with this, electrical workers will also be deployed at places of worship, who will be seen in special attire.

The department says that despite the increase in electricity demand during festivals, there is no cut, so that intensive inspection and repair of transformers and lines has already been completed.

Special appeal regarding security

Executive Engineer Pradeep Kumar Suman, while wishing the success of the peaceful festival to the consumers, gave special advice regarding safety and urged people to burst crackers at Chhath Ghats only after maintaining proper distance from electrical transformers, poles and wires while bursting crackers. This precaution is absolutely necessary to avoid short circuit or accident. To protect the high value wires passing through Chhath Ghats, special guard wires are being installed by the department, so that even if the wire breaks, no untoward incident can happen.
