


Araria, 21 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). In Jokihat of Araria, three girls died due to drowning in Bakra river. Whereas a child has drowned in Bakra river at Kamat Ghat, SDRF team is engaged to search for him.
A girl is being treated in Sadar Hospital, whose condition is said to be critical. There are two different incidents. The incident of drowning of girls took place on Monday evening. The incident of drowning of the child happened on Tuesday morning. According to the villagers, on Monday evening in Taran village of Jokihat police station area, four girls had gone to the banks of Bakra river to bring soil. In this sequence, a girl started drowning. Seeing this, other girls jumped into the river to save her. In which four girls drowned. When the local villagers got the information, they took all four girls out of the river with the help of a local diver late in the night and took them to Sadar Hospital.
Where the on-duty doctors declared three girls dead. While a girl is undergoing treatment in Sadar Hospital. A lot of water has gone into the stomach of the girl under treatment, due to which her condition remains critical. The age of all the girls is ten to twelve years.
Among the dead girls, nine-year-old Rihanna of Ward No. 12 of Taran village, father Mohd. Islam, father of eight-year-old Khushnuma of ward number 13 is Mohd. Manjar and father of thirteen-year-old Shayka of ward number ten is Mohd. Rakib. Eleven year old Raja, father Mohd. Naeem, resident of Ward No. 2 of Taran village, drowned in the Bakra River at Kamta Ghat on Tuesday morning after going into deep water while taking bath. SDRF team has been deployed to investigate the matter.
On receiving information about drowned girls being brought to Sadar Hospital at night, the police under the leadership of Jokihat police station incharge Rajeev Kumar Jha reached Sadar Hospital and took possession of the body for post-mortem.
Due to the incident, there is mourning in the entire village and the family members are crying badly. Hundreds of villagers are at the homes of the victim’s relatives to console them. There is chaos in the village due to this simultaneous accident.
