Patna, 27 October . Three teachers from Saran district have been suspended for violating the model code of conduct implemented during the assembly elections in Bihar. This action has been taken on charges of involvement in political activities and violation of the prescribed code of conduct.

After investigating the matter, Saran district administration has issued an order to suspend the three teachers with immediate effect. Among the teachers on whom action has been taken, special teacher of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Chapra, Priyanka Kumari, Principal of Middle School, Ratanpura, Chapra Sadar, Surendra Kumar Singh and Panchayat teacher of newly created Primary School, Dhenuki, Deoria, Jalalpur, Chandramohan Kumar Singh are included.

Action has been taken against teacher Priyanka Kumari for participating in a program organized by a media house. The order states that as a government, honorarium employee, exerting undue influence in elections and expressing one’s opinion in favor of any candidate is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct. An FIR has been registered against him and he has been suspended with immediate effect by the District Education Officer, Saran. Departmental action has also been initiated.

At the same time, in the investigation of the complaint received against Surendra Kumar Singh, it was found that he participated in a program organized by a media house with leaders of various political parties. An FIR has been registered against him. He has been suspended with immediate effect by the District Education Officer, Saran. Departmental action is also being taken.

In the investigation of the complaint received against Chandramohan Kumar Singh, it was found that he had appealed to vote in favor of a particular candidate by participating in political activities. He has been suspended and instructions have been given to take departmental action against him. An FIR has been registered against him.

Even before this, a case of violation of model code of conduct was registered against a teacher in Saran.—————
