Bettiah, October 15 (NEWS IN BIHAR). On Wednesday, Lauria police station has achieved great success in the action taken against liquor smugglers on the basis of secret information.

Police arrested two smugglers riding a motorcycle with 65 liters of country liquor near the petrol pump located on Lauria-Ramnagar main road.

Police Station Head Ramesh Kumar Sharma said that both the youths were coming towards Lauria at high speed. On suspicion, the police team laid siege and stopped them. During the search, a total of 65 liters of country liquor was recovered in two sacks loaded on the motorcycle.

The identity of the arrested smugglers was Mantu Chaudhary (32), son of Late. Motilal Chaudhary and Mukesh Chaudhary (28), son of late. Advocate Chaudhary, both residents of Pakdi Nuniva Tola, Lauria Nagar Panchayat.

The police station incharge said that the seized liquor and motorcycle have been brought to the police station. A case has been registered against both the accused under the Excise Act and they have been sent to Bettiah jail in judicial custody.
