Two youths have died in a collision with an unknown vehicle on the Gaunaha to Narkatiaganj main road in Bettiah police district.

Both the deceased have been identified as Rahul Mahato (25), son of Rampreet Mahato, resident of ward number seven of Belwa village, and Karan Mahato (12), son of Vashishtha Mahato.

Both of them were going from their village Belwa towards Narkatiaganj for some work after returning from Belwa Chhath Ghat at around 8 am on Tuesday.

In the same sequence, this incident occurred due to a collision with an unknown vehicle near Ajiya Sherwa. Both the youths riding the bike died on the spot. Gradually a crowd gathered at the spot.

Regarding this incident, Block Twenty Point Vice President Vikrama Chaudhary said that both the youths died due to collision with an unknown vehicle. He further said that this information was given to the local police station Gaunaha. After reaching the police station, the body was taken into custody and sent to Bettiah for post-mortem.

Gaunaha police station incharge Amit Kumar said that both the deceased youths have been sent to Bettiah GMCH for post-mortem. No application has been received yet in this regard, appropriate legal action will be taken once the application is received.
