
East Champaran, October 24 . On Friday, an uncontrollable Haiba trampled two children walking on the road near Ghusiar village on the Sangrampur-Parshuram main road of the district, in which one child died on the spot. The villagers sent one to Motihari for treatment.
The deceased boy is Sohit Mahato, 20 year old son of late Umesh Mahato of Koirgaon village. The injured Dilkhush Kumar, 12 year old son of Lalan Mahato, is undergoing treatment in Motihari.
After the incident, the angry people blocked the road, on the information of which police station incharge Dheeraj Kumar Singh and Inspector Rajiv Ranjan Kumar reached with the police force and investigated. The matter was calmed down after the persuasion of South Madhubani Panchayat head Rita Devi’s representative Akhilesh Singh and the police station incharge. After about one and a half hour traffic jam on Sangrampur Parshuram Path became smooth.
The police station incharge said that the body was sent to Motihari for post-mortem. Haiba has been seized and the matter is being investigated. An FIR will be registered after receiving an application from the family.
