On the initiative of the Election Commission, a voter awareness campaign was conducted by the district administration on the occasion of Chhath festival.

Under this campaign, banners, posters and flex were put up at various Chhath Puja ghats of the district with the aim of making voters aware. On these, citizens have been appealed to participate actively in the upcoming voting.

In view of this great festival of public faith, the administration has taken a special initiative by linking the massive public relations opportunity like Chhath Puja with voter awareness. During this time, a message was given to the devotees who reached the ghats that they should participate in this great festival of democracy with the same devotion and responsibility as they do in the Chhath festival.

Voting is not only a right but also a responsibility of every citizen. Therefore, every voter should strengthen democracy by exercising his franchise.

Under the campaign, public message was given through slogans like ‘Vote Karega Bihar Chunega Apni Sarkar’.
