Voter awareness program held in Jaiprakash University

Patna, 19 October (NEWS IN BIHAR). Inaugurating the one-day voter awareness program organized under the joint aegis of Patliputra Institute of Social Science Research, New Delhi and Saran District Administration, Vice Chancellor in-charge of Jaiprakash University, Chapra, Prof. Dr. Gajendra Kumar has said that democracy has been established in India after great sacrifices. In which due to the efforts of the creator of the Constitution Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, every citizen has got the right to adult franchise.

He said that in which both the Queen and the Queen have got the right to cast the same vote on the basis of equality. Therefore, we must use our voting rights for the success of democracy.

Presiding over the function organized in the Senate Auditorium of Jaiprakash University, Dr. Lal Babu Yadav, former Head of the Department of Political Science, said that on November 6, we should go to our polling stations and vote in a festive atmosphere. Santosh Kumar, the representative of this program of the district administration, while informing about the technical aspects of the voter awareness program, called upon all the citizens to be active in increasing the vote percentage in Saran this time.

On this occasion, Dr. Sonali Singh, Professor of Political Science of JPM College, appealed to the young voters to actively participate in politics and vote. Director of Central Public School, Dr. Harendra Singh underlined the importance of each vote in democracy as an example. The vote of thanks for the first session was given by Dr. Narayan Das, Registrar of Jaypee University.

In the competitive session of the programme, quiz and debate competitions were organized on elections and voting. The first prize winner of the debate competition was Yuvraj Singh, the second winner was Sonu Kumar, the third winner was Ummehani and Shweta, the first winner of the quiz competition was Nishant Kumar, the second prize was Shreya Srivastava and the third prize was declared to Jishu Singh.

The first, second and third prize winners were given a cash amount of Rs 1100, 700, 500 along with certificates respectively by the sponsoring organization Patliputra Institute of Social Science and Research, and all the participants were given a presentation letter by the Saran District Administration. Both the competitions were conducted by renowned young quiz master Bhanwar Kishore.

On this occasion, University’s Controller of Examinations Dr. Ashok Mishra, Coordinator Dr. Ajit Tiwari and research student Sonu Yadav were present. Program coordinator Dr. Braj Kishore welcomed the incoming guests and expressed gratitude for their participation in the program.
