
Araria, 26 November . A district level program was organized by the Department of Prohibition, Excise and Registration on Drug Free Day in the DRDA assembly building located at the Collectorate. The main objective of the program was to create awareness about prohibition and drug addiction and to create a drug-free environment in the society.
In his address at the program, DM Anil Kumar said that drug addiction is not only harmful for health, but it also has a serious impact on the family, society and future generations. He called upon the people present to lay the foundation of a healthy and safe society by becoming a part of the campaign.
The DM also administered the oath of drug freedom to all the people present. Jeevika Didi, officials of various departments, employees, educated youth and common citizens participated enthusiastically in the program.
In order to spread awareness in the program, messages about the ill effects of drug addiction were given through song and musical presentations by street theater groups.
On the occasion, Excise Superintendent Niranjan Kumar Jha, DSP Headquarters Manoj Kumar Singh and senior officials of all departments were present.
